    Review: Castlevania

Finally, I got to watch Castlevania, one very hyped up series on Netflix. Every time Netflix would be paused they would start showing the image with Castlevania. To be honest, it didn’t attract my attention at all. But then my boyfriend just decided to watch an episode and I was immediately hooked. I have to confess: one reason is that it is happening in Romania and it’s funny how they pronounce the city names. The plot The series is based on the video game series with the same name, created by Konami. It follows the adventures of Trevor Belmont, his fights with demons and monsters in medieval Wallachia. The main…

    How social media affects me

These days everyone has one or more social media accounts. It can even come as weird if you don’t have any. People ask you how do you keep in contact with everyone if there is no way to contact you online? Why does one have to work so hard to contact you? A few years ago, I know I deactivated my Facebook and people who had my phone number started asking me if something happened. It felt good to distance myself from all the people. To not know where some random ex-classmate of me is. It felt freeing in a way. But this lasted two or three months and the…

    On being punctual

Time is important to all of us. I always feel that there is never enough time to do all the things I planned to do. I buy planners to write down our schedules and watch videos to learn how to use my time better and not waste any. But at the same time, I also like to waste time playing mindless phone games or just idling around. I still procrastinate even though I know I am losing precious time where I could be doing more useful stuff. How to be punctual? I found that the best way to be punctual is to plan ahead and know yourself. When I go…

5 Reasons why I hate these types of titles

Ever since creating my blog I have been out of inspiration on what to write and what I want this blog to be. ( I still don’t know that). So I started searching for other blogs to read and learn from others experiences with blogging. One thing I realized is that many people just blog for money nowadays. There are tons of blogs that teach you how to make money, how to build a brand and a network, how to put ads on your blog and other topics of this kind. It’s hard to find a blog where the person just writes about topics that he/she likes, or at least…

Must see in Moravia: Lednice Castle

I had the opportunity to visit the Lednice town in Moravia, Czech Republic. I spent two nights there and slept in a student dorm. There I had a barbecue the first evening but sadly it started raining. I was worried about the rain because my main reason for spending the weekend there was to bike in the Lednice-Valtice region. Luck was on my side because Saturday was a very nice day. It was not too hot or cold, just perfect for a long bike trip. Our main stop: Lednice Castle The castle was the summer residence of the ruling Princes of Liechtenstein. The family of Liechtenstein owned the majority of the…

    Trip to Barcelona (2)

Day 5 We reserved two nights on AirBnb in the Gracia district, because we were supposed to attend an event there. Sadly the event was canceled because of the attack so we were left to create our own program for the next few days. Our host was very nice to us and he had an awesome cat! The apartment was nice and clean and our room was totally cute. Here we learned the importance of air conditioning in Spain. It was so hot during the night that we could barely sleep, so make sure you have air conditioning in Spain! Our host advised us not to go in the center…

    Trip to Barcelona (1)

This last august I traveled to Barcelona. My main reason to go there was because I heard lots of nice comments about it and my aunt lives very close to Barcelona. As I have learned there august is the worst time to go to Barcelona because there are so many people there that sometimes it’s a struggle to go around. The queues are endless but thankfully most of the tickets can be bought online. Day 1 We arrived to the airport fairly late, at 22:00 PM. We picked up our luggage and then we traveled with the Aerobus to our hotel Onix Fira in Placa Espana. The hotel had good…

    My problem with… time

Most people have a problem with time management and have the feeling there is never enough time to do what they have to do. I am one of those people. Always trying to do too many tasks in too little time. I have an almost full-time job, I study, I am part of a student organization and have a boyfriend. It’s been really hard to finish all my tasks and because of this, I have neglected my studies. Thus studying for much longer than expected. After reading many articles and watching videos about time management I found something. Supposedly the secret of how to manage time is to create ToDo…

    the layers within

Starting with this wonderful painting from Agnes-Cecile, called “the layers within”.  She is an Italian red-haired painter, based in Rome I still don’t remember where I discovered her artwork the first time, it may be when I was searching for wallpapers for my desktop. The first painting that I remember was a piece called “About a new place” where I really liked the colors and the dripping paint. It had totally girly colors and motives: butterflies. I am not an artist, but I know that her paintings can express so many feelings. Anger, Rage, Happiness and Purity being some of them. Her paintings are deep, even though they are in a…
